Letter to Editor In support of Eileen Hillock and Michelle Torpey.
I have known Eileen for about 15 years and Michelle the past 5 years. Both are tireless workers with a tremendous devotion to Glen Rock and the community’s citizens. Having served on the Glen Rock Junior Football Association board with Eileen, I know personally her dedication to the children of our town. And for those of us who know Eileen, we know it doesn’t stop there. Her dedication to Glen Rock continues for the senior citizens, merchants and even the dogs in our community. Most importantly, Eileen won’t capitulate for political gain; I have always known her to be a person of extremely high integrity and truthfulness.
Michelle has also been a tireless community volunteer. Most recently she has stepped up to chair “Glen Rock for the Holidays’ Committee. She is a 3x President of Byrd School HSA (currently serving), a licensed Pharmacist and has been leading the Opioid Awareness Day effort in Glen Rock and successfully raised the funds to install a prescription drug disposal receptacle at Rock Ridge Pharmacy.
The fact that these two women have certainly worked diligently in our community for many years is unquestionable. I also know their focus will continue to be on Glen Rock and the issues that affect our community. Their goal is to do well for all the people of this community, stop the divisiveness that has become too common place over the past few years. Glen Rock is a fantastic community, one in which we should take great pride. Let’s celebrate the wonderful things about this community collectively…We are Glen Rock! Please vote Eileen Hillock and Michelle Torpey on November 7th.
